I finsished reading Lucky Wander Boy by D.B. Weiss and I must say, it ROCKED! Video game geekdom, office humor, and a story that gradually becomes really absurd and symbolic. It was a spiral, but not uninteresting like looking at a spiral. It was like being led down a spiral and not realizing it until you find yourself dizzy and confused. I need to convince someone I know to read it so I can discuss it. Taking a trip into the mind of the main character, Adam Pennyman, was fun because he is easy to identify with and root for even while it's obvious that he's acting like a complete jackass. Someone join me in Lucky Wander Boy's quest!
I've started Caucasia by Danzy Senna. I read 100 pages just today, so I guess I like it. Swirl, a mixed-race community organization, will be discussing it August 3rd so that's why I picked it up.
