Anyway, I think that's why the Security Council is keeping it from the nations. It's a way to keep peace. America won't know what's on those 10,000 pages of [whatever is on the pages]. Bush, at this point, has no reason to attack Iraq and, as SuperJarrad said, has an itchy finger waiting to pull the trigger. They can't release "evidence" even if they make it up. They'd have to support their "evidence", which, so far, they wouldn't be able to support anything. The inspectors are finding that Iraq is clean.

Speculating on the papers:

I think that not only is there the claim that Iraq has no Weapons of MD, but I also think there're probably records on what they have bought in order to prove that they don't have those weapons. It's just an assumption, but if that were the case, I don't see why it wouldn't be publicized.

Assuming that that were the case, Iraq claiming not to have Weapons of MD supported by financial and military records, and the contents weren't publicized, I think that if Iraq can convince the Security Council that they're free of Weapons of MD, then it would be easy to convince the rest of the world. Just some ideas. Comprendes?

Umm.... how? I have not heard one VERY convincing argument why they might have Weapons of MD (although I still believe they probably do). There isn't any evidence. And if there is, then the gov't isn't sharing it with us, in which case, they shouldn't be waving the idea of them knowing all of this in our faces. Perhaps Gore might be more convinced that Iraq needs invaded once some hardcore evidence shows up.

Besides that, that's an interesting/ineffective way of propaganda, so it seems. Where do they drop these? All I can guess is military bases. In military bases, they're most likely ordered to immediately destroy that propaganda without reading it, perhaps because it will 'corrupt their minds'. Or so Hussein may have them convinced.

What're people's thoughts on these leaflets? Effective or not? Good idea or not?

Propaganda isn't necessarily a bad thing, so long as it's not misleading. This propaganda seemed possible, even probable. I'm gonna have to say I like that they're trying to get the message out in Iraq, although I think that seems like a poor way of doing, especially after five or six times of futile attempts in the same manner.
