Indeed, you can do that online now. I still haven't gotten my snail mailed confirmation, however. But much more importantly, I also registered to vote (under No Affiliation).

Good for you. I waited a rather long time when I was your age to register for the draft and received all manner of exciting threatening letters. I used the Defense Department logo from them on flyers for my first college radio show. Unfortunately the first presidential candidate I had to vote for was Michael Dukakis who, to bring us back on topic, was the political equivalent of Pluto.

Yes, that was the most unconvincing photo ever shot. It practically gauranteed he was doomed to convert a single hawk in either party. He should have come up with something of his own rather than pretending to be like Bush Sr., but that's classic Democrats for you.

China Eyes Space Tourism!
So if anyone is keeping score here, the Cold War "Communist" countries are making a profit from private interest in their space program, while the "Capitalist" super-power still believes that space should be entirely controlled by the State... |

The price of a trip to the ISS, just went up a million dollars! It's interesting, because we'd like to think that more frequent travelers would drive the price down, not up, but actually in terms of supply and demand - the demand has been increasing and the supply has stayed exactly the same.
