I'm having a difficult time adjusting to this image of Chris as a real person. I've just gotten used to him as an anonymous image, and now there's his real face. Honestly, it makes your posts seem more powerful somehow though.

This image is really for my ex-girlfriend. However, I generally standardize on one image for all my online presences so there you go. I'm supposed to look cute, sincere, and earnest. So really that effect is deliberate, ljim. At one point she dissed the icon I was using before as a bad picture of me. Unfortunately I didn't quite remember that she uses Mac OS X in inverse color mode 99% of the time (she's visually impaired). Further although she likes it, she says it looks too photoshopped (I actually touched it up very little, it's really just the lack of trademark hair that makes it look different). Ah well, back to the drawing board. In the meantime I kinda like it.
 Maybe she'll respond better to this photoshopping, or else... |

It's just weird how with a big face it feels like you are talking with an intense energy. With past icons it was more like a computer was spewing out asci somewhere in a basement laboratory and pretending to be a person. I realize both interpretations are false and the truth lies in the middle, but being interested in masks and images it's something I couldn't help noting.
