Well, they have a clever name at least. Not quit up there with Jesus Chrysler Supercar and Jehovah's Waitresses, but still not bad.

Re: the Dead Air Fresheners | ||

Well, thanks I guess.
The name isn't really a product of being clever though. It comes from accidentally kicking one of those discarded pine tree air fresheners in a parking lot and saying to myself "hmm, a dead air freshener." actually if you checked out the site, I suppose you'd already know that... Sleep can be a very enlightening form of expression. Some travellers actually go to great lengths and imbibe strange flowers to attain it. Zzzzzz-zz-z |

O.k., I'm bragging about my ability to schmooze here, so you have been forewarned...
But since I know how you guys like to see the Net utilized, I thought I'd share how I finally go Yahoo! to list us as an official site: search.yahoo.com/bin/sear...sheners%22 so now when you do a search with our name it goes right there, boom! And what's more were in the sadly limited Olympia list: dir.yahoo.com/Regional/U_...c/Artists/ and the Electronic list: dir.yahoo.com/Entertainme...e_Listing/ where we don't exactly fit in, but then where do we? |

Thanks.
Come to think of it, pestering nick to develope a ad banner featuring the top banner/doing it myself might not be a bad idea. |

Monday, September 16th 9 PM
A FREE Show: at Charlies 620 4th Ave. E., Olympia, WA., Tel. (360) 786-8181 21+ with I.D. The Hardest Working Band in Olympia: CHUCK SWAIM WITH THE DEAD AIR FRESHENERS with Very Special Guest: JESSIE B. (her first Oly show in 4 years!) Chuck Swaim and his group of masked musicians the Dead Air Fresheners are at the midpoint in a jaunt through the NW from Snohomish to Chehalis. They just played on Internet Radio Station KMLP to some 12,000+ listeners, and now want to give the hometown crowd something special. Experimental post-punk rock with a multi-media presentation like nothing you've seen before or since. They will be playing two sets with an intermission. Opener Jessie B. currently resides in Seattle, but spent many years in Olympia carving out a niche with her violin. She has played innumerable shows with everyone from the punk rock group the Reviers, to Arrington De Dionyso in the experimental free jazz duo Brambleram, and fellow noise-violinist Michael Griffin of Behead the Prophet and Noggin in her own Jessie B. Trio. This rare solo performance is the perfect prelude for an evening of strange and adventurous music. Unfortunately this is a drinkers affair and the kids aren't invited. Chuck Swaim & the Dead Air Fresheners promise to make it up to the kids with an all ages show Sept. 28th at the Matrix Coffehouse in Chehalis. Your Looking Good Buddies! |
